1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1 It was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them and even managed to drive across raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or carpets.
The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. Its mopping capabilities are also very good and include a pair of mop pads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops can also be filled at the top of the station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well by avoiding pet hairs as well as other messes. The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on price by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen in this price range even though it's not able to clean your floor. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleanings and set the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out, with a 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any trouble with high-pile carpets and area carpets, but it didn't remove cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
